Booking directly with us is easy and helps you save on platform fees.

How It Works

1. Select your preferred date on the availability calendar icon below.

2. Submit your reservation request

• Click the “Book Direct” button and complete the short form with your stay details and contact information.

3. You will receive an email confirmation.

• Your booking details will be emailed to you, and payment will be taken at the time of booking.

4. Complete Your Reservation Requirements

• Once your reservation is submitted, we will send you a rental agreement to review and sign.
• You will also be asked to provide a copy of your valid ID.
• Please note: The primary renter must be at least 25 years of age.

5. First Payment: 50% Deposit

• A deposit of 50% of the total booking cost is required to secure your reservation.

6. Second Payment: Remaining Balance

• The remaining balance will be automatically collected 30 days before check-in.

7. Security Deposit Hold — $1,000

• Amount: $1,000 flat
• Collection Date: A hold is placed on your card 10 days before check-in
• Release Date: Released 10 days after check-out, provided there are no damages or additional fees
• Important: The security deposit is not included in your rental total. It is a separate hold on your card and will not be charged unless funds are captured for damages.
• Stripe Note: Stripe only charges a fee if any portion of the held funds is collected.

8. You’re all set!

You’ll receive your Welcome Guide and check-in instructions before arrival to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Airbnb and VRBO Guests:
Payment, security deposit, and cancellation policies will follow the terms agreed upon at the time of booking through those respective platforms. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the property and time of year. Please refer to the specific property listing for details.

Direct Reservations made through the DIRECT Online Reservation System:

· Prepayment: 50% of the total booking amount is due at the time of reservation.

· Final Payment: The remaining balance will be automatically collected 30 days prior to check-in.

Security Deposit:
A $1,000 security deposit hold will be placed on the guest’s credit card prior to arrival. The card will only be charge for damages, excessive cleaning, or unpaid fees (including, but not limited to, extra guests, overcapacity, pets, or firewood charges). The hold will be released within 10 days after check-out, pending inspection.

Direct Reservations made with Skylight Lodge, LLC:

· Full Payment: 100% of the total rental amount, including the $1,000 security deposit, must be paid within 48 hours of booking unless alternative arrangements are made and approved in writing by Skylight Lodge, LLC.

· Failure to Pay: Reservations not paid within 48 hours may be canceled.

For AirBnB and VRBO stays, the cancellation policy follows the terms you accepted at the time of reservation. You can review the full policy in your booking confirmation.

Direct Reservation Cancellation Policy:

· Our Grace Period: Guests may cancel their reservation within 48 hours of booking for a full refund if the reservation is made at least 14 days before check-in.
Reservations made fewer than 14 days before arrival do not qualify for the 48-hour cancellation window.

· 30+ Days Before Check-In: Full refund.

· 7–30 Days Before Check-In: 50% refund.

· Less Than 7 Days Before Check-In: No refund.
