About us
Skylight Ski Lodge was built in 1950 and operated as an inn from 1952 to 2002. In its prime, it earned a loyal following—Ski Magazine wrote in its February 1977 issue, “most of the serious skiers who frequent the Skylight Lodge wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else.”
In 2022, our crew stumbled upon the property and instantly knew it was something special. Bridget, Erin, and Rich have been friends since college, and thanks to Bridget, Marc quickly became part of the friendship. We've stood beside each other at our weddings and have stayed close for more than 25 years.
Coming out of the pandemic, our two families wanted to spend more time together and began searching for the perfect place to make that happen. We found it here—at Skylight Ski Lodge.
Our five children love racing through the halls, exploring the property, and counting down the days until winter returns so we can ski together at Stratton, Bromley, and Okemo. This place isn’t just a lodge to us—it’s a home filled with history, adventure, and memories in the making.
The Lodge
With seven bedrooms—including two master suites—and countless room configurations, Skylight Ski Lodge offers ample space for everyone to gather or spread out in comfort. The expansive kitchen and dining room can easily host up to 25 guests, making it ideal for shared meals and celebrations. Two great rooms, each anchored by a massive native-stone wood-burning fireplace, create warm and inviting spaces to relax after a day on the mountain.
Fun Fact: The maple trees on the property were milled on-site and crafted into the trim and maple floors found throughout the home—bringing the beauty of Vermont’s landscape indoors.
